Connect to ChatGPT
Connecting to ChatGPT is achieved through the Supermetrics MCP server. Connecting is a two-step process that requires a workspace admin to set up the connector first, and then each user to connect their account.
Step 1: Set up the connector (admin side)
In ChatGPT, click your workspace name in the bottom-left corner and select Workspace settings.
Go to the Connectors tab.
Click Create.
A pop-up will appear warning about developer mode. Click Enable developer mode to proceed.
Fill in the following details in the New connector form:
Name: Enter a clear name, such as "Supermetrics".
MCP Server URL: Enter the following URL:
https://mcp.supermetrics.com/mcpAuthentication: Leave this setting to OAuth.
Check the box at the bottom: I understand and want to continue.
Click Create.

After authenticating, you'll be redirected back to the ChatGPT Connectors settings page.
Your new connector will be listed under Drafts. Click Publish.
A pop-up will ask you to review potential risks. Open each risk, read the information, and check the acknowledgment boxes.
Once all risks are reviewed, click Publish again.
The Supermetrics connector is now active and available for all users in your workspace to connect to.
Step 2: Connect your personal account
Once your admin has completed Step 1, follow these steps to link your personal account.
In ChatGPT, click your name in the bottom-left corner and select Settings.
Go to the Apps & Connectors tab.
Click Supermetrics in the list of available connectors.
Click Connect.
A pop-up will appear. Click Continue to Supermetrics.

After a successful sign-in, you'll be redirected back to your ChatGPT settings. The button will now say Disconnect, confirming the connection is active.
Connect to Gemini
Get in touch with us to discuss enablement for Google Gemini.
Use Supermetrics with your AI assistant
In a new chat with your AI assistant, click the plus (+) icon or a similar button in the text bar to see available connectors.
If you don't see Supermetrics, click More.
Select Supermetrics from the list.
A "Supermetrics" tag will appear in your prompt bar. You can now type your request and send it.
Note
When you make a request, the AI model may need to use several "actions" from the connector. You may need to manually approve these actions as they appear in the chat for the query to complete successfully.
Best practices
Once connected, your AI assistant can access data from any platform you've already connected to your Supermetrics account (such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, and more).
You can ask natural questions about your marketing data, for example:
How much did we spend on Google Ads last month?
Which Facebook campaigns had the best ROI this quarter?
Show me our website traffic trends from Google Analytics.
Compare Instagram vs. TikTok ad performance.
What are our top converting keywords?
Tips for success
Start simple: Begin with basic questions about your data before diving into complex, multi-platform analysis.
Be specific: Instead of asking for "performance data," be more specific, like "show me Google Ads click-through rates for last week."
Combine platforms: The real power comes from comparing and combining data. Try asking, "Create a summary comparing all my clients' Facebook ad performance this month."
Ask follow-ups: If you see interesting trends in the response, ask your AI to "dig deeper" or "explain what might be causing them."
