This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Bluesky data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.
Before you begin
The Bluesky Public Data connector connects directly to the public AT Protocol API (api.bsky.app) without needing any authentication or special access permissions.
Query types
Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data.
User profile: Provides the current status of a profile (no date range needed). Requires one Bluesky handle.
User posts: Retrieves an author feed (including reposts) alongside engagement metrics over a specified date range. Requires one Bluesky handle.
Followers: Retrieves the active list of followers (no date range needed). Requires one Bluesky handle.
Following: Retrieves the active list of accounts being followed (no date range needed). Requires one Bluesky handle.
Connection instructions
When connecting to Bluesky Public Data, enter the target Bluesky handle using either the username.bsky.social or username format.
Select the Bluesky Public Data data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
Click Start.
In your data destination, select a query type, if prompted, and enter the Bluesky handle to include in your reporting.
