You can connect Google Sheets spreadsheets to Supermetrics Studio to visualize targets, offline sales, CRM data, and custom business metrics alongside your marketing platforms.
Google Sheets spreadsheets connected in Supermetrics Studio stay live. When you update numbers in your spreadsheet, your dashboard reflects those changes when you refresh it in Supermetrics Studio. You don’t need to reconnect the spreadsheet.
Structure your spreadsheet for Supermetrics Studio
To help Supermetrics Studio read your spreadsheet data correctly, follow these guidelines:
Guideline | What to do |
|---|---|
Single header row | Place clear column headers in row 1 (such as Date, Channel, Target Revenue). Avoid stacked or merged headers. |
Consistent data types | Keep each column consistent. Store dates in date columns and raw numbers in metric columns without manual currency symbols. |
Standard date formats | Use the |
One table per tab | Put each table on its own tab so you can use and combine them separately. |
Avoid summary or total rows inside data | Don’t use total rows. Supermetrics Studio calculates totals and averages for you, so total rows in your data get counted twice. |
Dashboards load fastest when each spreadsheet tab has fewer than 10,000 to 50,000 rows. You can connect as many tabs as you need.

After you connect your spreadsheet
Google Sheets connections in Supermetrics Studio are live. When you change your spreadsheet, the changes show up on your dashboard when you refresh it:
On load and interaction: When you open the dashboard, change a filter, or change the date range, Supermetrics Studio queries the Google Sheet directly and displays the latest numbers.
Manual refresh: Refreshing the browser or clicking the refresh button immediately gets fresh data to the dashboard.
If you rename or delete a column in the spreadsheet that a chart relies on, the chart shows that the field is missing. Update the chart, or ask SuperAI to use the new column name.
