All Supermetrics subscriptions support a specific number of data source accounts for each connected data source. These could be ad accounts in Facebook Ads, for example, or properties in Google Analytics 4.
If you're using more accounts than your subscription supports, you'll get emails from our team — if your subscription continues to exceed its account limits, your reporting could be interrupted. You'll see error messages in Supermetrics, too.
There are a few steps you can take to make sure you're not exceeding account limits.
Remove unnecessary accounts
Check that you’re using all of the accounts attached to your subscription.
Check your subscription usage to get a full overview of your data source accounts. If you see accounts you’d like to remove, follow these steps:
Remove data source accounts from Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio)
Remove data source accounts from Query Manager (Supermetrics API)
AI chats and Supermetrics MCP always pull a fresh list of accounts. To remove accounts from your queries, ask the AI tool to list all accounts you have access to, then ask it to use particular accounts and exclude others.
Check the All accounts setting
If you're using Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Analytics 4, or Microsoft Advertising with Google Sheets, your queries will have the All accounts setting enabled by default. This means that every data source account will be included in every query.
Check your prioritized accounts
Prioritized accounts are data source accounts that will always be prioritized in any queries using a particular data source, like Facebook Ads accounts or Google Analytics properties, that count toward your subscription’s account limit. These prioritized accounts are locked in to make sure your data keeps coming through.
What you need to know about prioritized accounts:
Subscription quota: Your subscription lets you connect a set number of data source accounts. Prioritized accounts fill those slots.
Automatic assignment: If you don’t pick prioritized accounts yourself, the first accounts you use in your queries become prioritized and automatically listed on Supermetrics Hub until your quota is full. Note that if you use the All accounts setting, the prioritized accounts list can fill up very fast.
Change limits: You can update your prioritized accounts up to 10 times per month. The limit resets on the first day of the month.
Shared quota: All data sources share the same account slots. For example, if your subscription allows 10 accounts, that covers 10 Facebook Ads accounts and 10 LinkedIn Ads accounts combined.
If you're logged in as a team's Owner or Admin, you can view and manage the prioritized accounts on the Supermetrics Hub:
Go to the Subscriptions page on the Supermetrics Hub. Check from the top bar that you're in the right team.
Navigate to the subscriptions you want to view, and click Manage.
Scroll down to Data sources & Accounts.
Click Manage next to the data source.
You can select prioritized accounts on the left side of the box. The magic wand symbol indicates the accounts that were added automatically to the prioritized account list.
Troubleshooting
If your queries are using more accounts than your subscription supports, you’ll get the The query is trying to pull data from x views that are not listed as prioritised accounts. error message.
To avoid this error:
Purchase a subscription that allows you to use more data source accounts.
Adjust the list of prioritized data source accounts.
Clear the list of prioritized accounts and re-select the prioritized accounts:
Go to the Subscriptions page on the Supermetrics Hub. Check from the top bar that you're in the right team.
Navigate to the subscriptions you want to view, and click Manage.
Scroll down to Data sources & Accounts.
Click Manage next to the data source.
Click Clear All to remove all the accounts.
Click Save.
Click Refresh account list and then select the preferred accounts back to the prioritized account list.
Click Save to save your changes.
Make sure that none of your queries are using the All accounts setting.
