Your Supermetrics subscription determines how many data source accounts you can use simultaneously.

Things to consider

Category grouping

After the top 500 or top 1000 rows, Matomo automatically groups pages, keywords, websites, and so on, under the label “Others”. See Matomo’s documentation.

Working with segments

You can use multiple segments simultaneously with some limitations. The operation we use to combine separate segments is OR.

Here are some known errors of Matomo when using segments and what to fix in your setup:

  • For errors starting as Matomo failure (These reports have no data, because the Segment you requested (<segment name>) has not yet been processed by the system. some possible reasons are:

    • You’re trying to use a segment for a website the segment isn’t enabled for. This can be managed in the Matomo UI when editing the segment; select if the segment is processed for this website only or all websites.

    • The segment was created recently, and the data has not been processed yet.

  • For errors starting as The Segment you requested has not yet been created in the Segment Editor and so the report data has not been pre-processed. some possible reasons are:

    • You’re trying to use multiple segments simultaneously, and at least one of those segments has been created after your selected query start date.

    • You’re trying to use multiple segments in the same query. Matomo treats the combined segments as a new unsaved segment with no archived data, so you need to first create a single segment in the UI that contains all required definitions, wait for it to be processed, and then use that new segment. See Matomo’s documentation about building segments.
