With the Facebook Public Data connector, you can see how your public Facebook Pages are growing and do competitor benchmarking. Use this data alongside Facebook Insights and Facebook Ads data to get full visibility of your Facebook presence.
Before you begin
Before you build reports, you need to connect the data source to Supermetrics.

Query types
To get the data you need, select the correct query type:
Facebook page: Page-level data, including Likes, About, and the website link.
Facebook page posts: Information on posts made to the Page, such as Post link, Reaction counts, and Comment counts.
Facebook shares for URLs: Data about specific shared URLs, such as URL, Share count, and Comment count.
Note
If you need to use multiple query types in your Looker Studio report, you will need to create separate connectors for each query type. Learn more about using query types in Looker Studio.

Analyze post engagement by likes, comments, reactions, and shares
See which posts have caught your audience's attention in the last 7 days, including engagement details and links to the posts — useful for identifying top content and benchmarking against competitor Pages.

Likes per post: The number of likes on the post.
Comments per post: The number of comments on the post.
Reactions per post: The total number of reactions on the post.
Shares per post: The number of times the post was shared.

Link to post / Post link: A direct URL to the post on Facebook.
Picture: The image attached to the post, if any.
Message: The text content of the post.
Caption: The caption associated with the post's media.

Likes: The total count of likes on the post. Note that this also includes the Care reaction.
Reactions: Love / Wow / Haha / Sad / Angry: The total number of each specific reaction type on the post.
Reactions: The total count of all reactions to the post.
Created date: The date the post was published.
Link to post: A direct URL to the post on Facebook.
Compare your Page to competitors
See how your Page stacks up against competitors in terms of likes, followers, and audience engagement over the last 28 days — useful for identifying gaps and opportunities in your social strategy.

Understanding the data
Likes: The number of users who like the Page. For global Pages, this is the count across all Pages for the brand.
Page followers: The number of people following the Page.
Talking about: The number of people who have interacted with or mentioned the Page recently.
Name (Profile): The name of the Facebook Page.
Link to page: A direct URL to the Facebook Page.
Category: The category the Page is listed under on Facebook.
About: The Page's self-description from the About section.
See engagement for specific URLs
Explore how specific URLs are being shared, commented on, and reacted to on Facebook — useful for measuring the social reach of content like blog posts, landing pages, or press mentions.
To fetch this data, use the following settings in your reporting or visualization tool:

Understanding the data
Comments: The number of comments on the shared URL.
Shares: The number of times the URL has been shared on Facebook.
Reactions: The total number of reactions to the shared URL.
URL: The specific URL being analyzed.
Description: The description associated with the URL when shared on Facebook.
Title: The title of the page at the URL as it appears when shared on Facebook.
Note
Check the Allow "Type URLs" to be modified in reports checkbox if you want to add more URLs while setting up the query.
