The Data Activation connector for LinkedIn enables you to integrate your customer data with LinkedIn's advertising platform. This server-to-server integration allows you to populate Audience Lists in LinkedIn and target known website visitors and customers.
With this connector, you can:
Target users based on their hashed email address or Google Advertiser ID
Select which Ad Account you want to configure the connector for (only active Ad Accounts are available)
View all available Audience Lists within the configured LinkedIn Ad Account
Create new Audience Lists and populate them with profiles
Automatically add and remove profiles as they enter or leave your Data Activation audiences/journeys
This connector uses a server-side implementation, allowing you to target known website visitors and customers. If you want to do website retargeting for unknown website visitors, you can implement the LinkedIn Insights Tag on your website. For more information about this service, contact your LinkedIn representative.

Before you begin
Before configuring the LinkedIn connector, ensure the following requirements are met:
Identifier mapping: The LinkedIn connector supports hashed email (7001) or Google Advertiser ID (6004). You must map either or both identifiers to their respective https://support.relay42.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037962594-Partner-Numbers-Partner-Types

Instructions
Step 1: Configure destination
On the Data Activation platform, select Connectors in the left-side navigation bar.
Select Server to Server and click New Connector.
Select LinkedIn.
You'll see the connector configuration form.
You can set up multiple connectors for multiple LinkedIn Ad Accounts, or for different types of identifiers for the same LinkedIn Account.
Step 2: Grant permissions and complete setup
Click Grant permissions in LinkedIn to generate the token. You'll be redirected to the LinkedIn platform.
If you haven't already, log in to your LinkedIn account. You'll see a prompt asking you to allow the sync between the Data Activation and LinkedIn.
Once the token is generated, select the Account ID you want to configure the connector with. If you want to connect with multiple Ad Accounts, you'll need to configure multiple connectors.
Select the preferred payload type. The most commonly used payload type for the LinkedIn connector is the hashed email address (7001). This requires you to map the SHA-256 hashed email address to its designated partner number.
Click Create to save the connector configuration settings.
Step 3: Add the destination connector to an audience or journey
After completing the connector setup, you can add it to your audiences or journeys. Whenever profiles enter or leave a Data Activation audience or journey connected to LinkedIn using this integration, users are automatically sent to or removed from the connected LinkedIn Audience List.
