Use the LinkedIn Company Pages data source connector to track what content brings attention to your page. Compare this data with LinkedIn Ads and other social media channels to see which campaigns work best.

Before you begin

Before you build reports, you need to connect the data source to Supermetrics.

Query types

With this data source, you need to select a query type to get the right type of data:

  • Follower details: Total follower count for the page, with breakdowns by follower demographic such as industry, job function, and region.

  • Historical share statistics: Basic metrics for posts, shares, and updates, splittable by date (but not by post ID).

  • Historical follow statistics: Follower metrics for new organic and sponsored followers, splittable by date.

  • Page lifetime statistics: Page-level stats for the lifetime of the page, such as page views, job page views, and basic demographics. Can’t be split by date.

  • Page statistics: Page-level stats including page views and job page views, splittable by date.

  • Share comments detail: Comment text details for shares, updates, posts, and share titles.

  • Share totals: Lifetime total metrics for shares on the company page. Can’t be split by date or by share/post.

  • UGC details: Basic dimensions about post types not covered under Update details, including posts that are not basic text, image posts, or shares. Includes update count metrics.

  • Update details: Details about updates, shares, and posts (title, poster, URL, and so on), along with basic metrics for updates.

  • Video analytics: Video view metrics for video-type UGC posts.

Note

If you need to use multiple query types in your Looker Studio report, you will need to create separate connectors for each query type. Learn more about query types in Looker Studio.

Popular queries

These query configurations help you track key performance indicators and analyze trends. You can use these settings in any Supermetrics destination, such as Data Explorer, Dashboards, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, or data warehouse destinations.

  • Organic followers: The number of real people who follow your page without being driven by sponsored activity.

  • Industry: The industry of the follower, used to segment your audience by sector.

  • Organic followers: The number of real people who follow your page without being driven by sponsored activity.

  • Company size: The size bracket of the company the follower works for, used to segment your audience by organization size.

Track content reactions over the last 28 days

See how your audience has engaged with your page content — impressions, clicks, comments, likes, and shares — over the last 28 days, split by day for a clear trend view.

  • Impressions: The number of times your page content was shown to the audience.

  • Clicks: The number of clicks on your page content.

  • Comments: The number of comments left on your page content.

  • Likes: The number of likes your page content received.

  • Shares: The number of times your page content was shared.

  • Date: Splits results by day so you can track engagement trends over time.

Identify your most popular updates this month

See how your updates have performed this month — including shares, comments, and likes — alongside titles and URLs, so you can identify which content is resonating most with your audience.

Understanding the data

  • Shares: The number of times the update was shared by users.

  • Comments: The number of comments on the update.

  • Likes: The number of likes on the update.

  • Update title: The title of the update, used to identify each piece of content.

  • Update URL: A direct link to the update on LinkedIn.

  • Date: The publication date of the update.
