About account exclusion settings

Prev Next

This article explains how Supermetrics handles data source accounts that are inactive, unavailable, or invalid during a query. You can use these settings to ensure your reports continue to run smoothly even if certain accounts change status.

Exclude invalid accounts

When you enable the Exclude invalid accounts setting, Supermetrics checks your requested accounts against a fresh list of valid accounts before running your query. If an account is no longer valid or available, it's excluded from the results so the rest of your request can complete successfully.

You can find this setting as a checkbox under the Options for the query. You can also use the EXCLUDE_INVALID_ACCOUNTS parameter in your advanced settings.

To fetch a list of accounts that were excluded from your query as a result of this setting, you can include the “Excluded invalid accounts” dimension found under the “Query” group in the data source field list.

Exclude inactive accounts

The Exclude inactive accounts setting is specific to the Facebook Ads data source. You can use this to filter out data from accounts that are still valid but currently inactive.

To use this setting, select All active accounts in the account selector.

Exclude unavailable accounts

The Exclude unavailable accounts setting is a global feature used to prevent QUERY_ACCOUNT_UNAVAILABLE errors. It removes accounts from a query if they can't be found.

Note

The Exclude unavailable accounts setting is considered deprecated and we will remove it once the new Exclude invalid accounts setting is available for all connectors.

We recommend that you don't use the Exclude unavailable accounts setting for new queries.
