# Yandex.Direct and Yandex.Metrica: Query setup guide

Once you’ve authenticated your connection to Yandex.Direct and Yandex.Metrica, you’re ready to create your first query.

This guide will walk you through Yandex.Direct and Yandex.Metrica query setup for Google Sheets, Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio), and Excel, as well as data warehouse destinations like Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and API.

## Before you begin

To connect Supermetrics to **Yandex.Direct**, you need:

- **Chief Representative** or **Representative** user role access. [Learn more about roles and access.](https://yandex.com/dev/direct/doc/en/objects/roles)

To connect Supermetrics to **Yandex.Metrica**, you need:

- **Chief Representative** or **Representative** user role access, and you need to install a tag. Learn [how to create a tag](https://yandex.com/support/metrica/quick-start.html) and [how to manage representatives](https://yandex.com/support/direct/campaigns/representatives.html?lang=en).

## Available fields

See our documentation for a full list of the metrics and dimensions Supermetrics can pull from [Yandex.Direct](/v1/docs/yandexdirect-fields) and [Yandex.Metrica](/v1/docs/yandexmetrica-fields).

- Field label is the name that appears in the sidebar.
- Metrics can be found under type - “**met**”.
- Dimensions can be found under type - “**dim**” .

## Instructions

Google SheetsData StudioExcelData Integrations

1. Connect to the [Yandex.Direct](/v1/docs/yandexdirect-connection-guide) or [Yandex.Metrica](/v1/docs/yandexmetrica-connection-guide) data source.
2. Select **Dates**. Choose one date range (today, yesterday, last week, etc.). To select a custom date, you can insert the date manually in the Start and End fields in the calendar bar.
3. Select **Metrics**.
4. Select **Split by Dimensions**.You can choose to split your data into rows and/or columns, reflect the number of rows or columns to be fetched, and define how the data is sorted.
5. Click **Get Data to Table** to create your query and pull your data.

### Advanced options for Google Sheets

1. You can **filter** your data by selecting the field, operator, and value to filter by. [Learn more about filters](/v1/docs/how-to-use-filters-in-google-sheets-queries).
2. Under **Options**, you can add additional features to your query. [Learn more about Supermetrics advanced settings in Google Sheets.](/v1/docs/about-supermetrics-advanced-settings-for-google-sheets)

1. Connect to the [Yandex.Direct](/v1/docs/yandexdirect-connection-guide) or [Yandex.Metrica](/v1/docs/yandexmetrica-connection-guide) data source.
2. Under **Dimension**, select Dimensions.
3. Under **Metric**, select Metrics.
4. Select how to **sort** the data.
5. Select the **Date range** from the auto or custom options. If you choose a custom date range, click the arrow on the top-right hand side. Under a specific period, select a **Start Date** and **End Date**.

1. Connect to the [Yandex.Direct](/v1/docs/yandexdirect-connection-guide) or [Yandex.Metrica](/v1/docs/yandexmetrica-connection-guide) data source.
