# X Organic (Twitter) connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your X Organic (Twitter) data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/v1/docs/x-organic-twitter-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

Before you can fetch data from X Organic data source connector, you need to subscribe to the [Premium package in X](https://help.x.com/en/using-x/x-premium) which gives you access to advanced analytics.

In addition to the Premium package, you must have the following to fetch X Organic data:

- A completed X profile
- An active X Ads account connected to the X profile. [Follow these steps to create a X Ads account](/v1/docs/how-to-create-a-twitter-ads-account-for-x-organic-twitter).

Next, you will need access to the Ad account linked to the X account you want to report data for:

1. Open the [X Ads portal](https://ads.x.com/).
2. In the top right-hand corner, click your account name and select **Edit access to account**.
3. If you don't yet have access to this Ad account:
  1. Click **Add access**, and add your handle.
  2. Select Ad manager or Account administrator role.
  3. Check the box for **Can compose promotable Tweets** under the role selection.
  4. Click **Save changes**.
4. If you already have your account added:
  1. Make sure you have Ad manager or Account administrator role and the option to compose promotable tweets.
  2. If not, click **Edit access**.
  3. Change the role.
  4. Check the box for **Can compose promotable Tweets**.
  5. Click **Save changes**.

### Access posts from other X profiles

To fetch posts for another X account with [multi-user login](https://business.x.com/en/help/troubleshooting/multi-user-login-faq.html), you must be added as a **Campaign analyst** or **Administrator** to the other X Ads account.

Please ask the administrator of the other X account to do the following:

1. Create an X ad account if they don’t have one already. [Follow these steps to create a X Ads account](/v1/docs/how-to-create-a-twitter-ads-account-for-x-organic-twitter).
2. Navigate to [X Ads](http://ads.x.com/).
3. Click the account name in the top right corner and select **Edit access to account**.
4. Click **Add access**.
5. Enter the name of your X handle in the text box, select **Campaign analyst** or **Administrator**.
6. Check the box for **Can compose promotable Tweets** next to your account.
7. Save the changes.
