# Taboola connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Taboola data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/taboola-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

Your Taboola account needs at least the Account manager user role to connect to Supermetrics. [Learn more about user roles in Taboola's documentation](https://help.taboola.com/hc/en-us/articles/115007233208-Account-Administration).

## Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Taboola, you need to log in to Taboola and select the profiles to use when prompted.

1. Select the Taboola data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](/v1/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
3. Click **Start**.
4. Enter your credentials, and click **Sign in**.
5. In your data destination, select the profiles to use in your reporting and a query type.
