# Sprinklr connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Sprinklr data to Supermetrics.

<meta charset="utf-8">

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/sprinklr-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

To connect to Sprinklr, you need to create your own **OAuth Application** within the Sprinklr developer environment to obtain the required credentials. You’ll also need your specific **Environment Parameter**.

You can find the instructions to extract Environment from Sprinklr’s UI [here](https://dev.sprinklr.com/oauth-2-0-for-customers) or reach out to your Sprinklr admin or customer success manager.

You also need access to a Sprinklr user account with the following permissions:

- Generate Token
- Generate Widget API Payload

See [Sprinklr’s documentation](https://www.sprinklr.com/help/articles/roles-and-permissions/manage-roles/6467a80f30f12540268fb658) for details on how to manage roles in Sprinklr.

## How to create an OAuth application and obtain your Environment Parameter

1. Please follow the steps in [Sprinklr’s documentation](https://dev.sprinklr.com/api-key-and-secret-generation).
2. In the **Register Application** form, please enter the following **Callback URL**: `https://supermetrics.com/login-complete`
3. Once the application has been created, save your **API Key (Client_ID)** and **API secret (client_secret)** in a secure location.

Take note of your Environment Parameter, as it is required to authenticate the connector.

> [!NOTE]
> Note
>
> Only one token can exist per API key. If you have multiple stateless instances, you’ll need to generate a separate API key and token paid for each instance. This means that if you plan to use the connector in multiple destinations, you must create a separate API key for each one. Alternatively, you can use a shared connection if you prefer a single setup across destinations.

## Query types

If prompted, you need to select a query type to pull data.

- **Post performance:** Measures the performance of individual social media posts.

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Sprinklr, you need to log in to Sprinklr and check the combination of workspaces that should have access to the token.

1. Select the Sprinklr data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. Insert **Client ID** and **Client Secret** you obtained from your OAuth 2.0 Application, and select your **Environment (ENV)** from the dropdown list.
3. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
4. Click **Start**.

a. A Sprinklr login window will appear. **Log in** to your Sprinklr account. b. **Authorize** the Superetrics application to access your data.
5. In your data destination, select the **account(s)** you want to pull data from.
