# Shopee Commerce connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Shopee Commerce data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/shopee-commerce-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

To pull commerce data from Shopee using Supermetrics, you need a Shopee account.

In addition:

- You must authenticate using a normal Shop account. Main accounts and sub-accounts are not compatible with the connector.
- You need the **email/phone number/user name** and **password** of the Shop account.

## Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data.

- **Orders**: Retrieve detailed insights about your shop orders.
- **Order Items**: Retrieve detailed insights about products ordered from your shop.

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Shopee Commerce, you need to Shopee Commerce and select the shop region when prompted.

1. Select the Shopee Commerce data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
3. Click **Start**.
4. Select your store region from the dropdown and insert your email/phone number/user name and password.
5. Confirm the authorization for Supermetrics to access your Shopee data.
6. In your data destination, account to pull data from and a query type, if prompted.
