# Semrush Analytics connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Semrush Analytics data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/v1/docs/semrush-analytics-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

To connect Supermetrics to Semrush Analytics, you will need a paid Semrush subscription.

Note that each query made with Supermetrics will use up the subscription's Web Query allotment, which is defined by the type of subscription.

## Query types

Semrush Analytics supports 5 main types of queries — Domain, Keyword, URLs, Display Ads, and Backlinks — for a total of 35 different query types.

Our connector uses the same structure as the API reports with the same names, so you can use the [Semrush Analytics API documentation](https://www.semrush.com/api-documentation/) to explore the full range of reports and fields.

See our [Semrush Analytics report building guide](/v1/docs/semrush-analytics-report-building-guide) for more information about query types for this connector.

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Semrush Analytics you need to log in to Semrush and select the query type and enter the domains to query.

1. Select the Semrush Analytics data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](/v1/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
3. Click **Start**.
4. Enter your Semrush Analytics email and password, and click **Log in**.
5. Click **Approve**.
6. In your data destination, select a query type and enter one or more domains, separating each one with a comma with no whitespace (,).
