LinkedIn Ads: Permissions troubleshooting guide

You might encounter these errors when pulling data from LinkedIn Ads with Supermetrics:

  • Member does not have author access to view UserGeneratedContent

  • Access to the content is restricted to the company admins. 

This happens because, while most LinkedIn Ads metrics only require a LinkedIn Ads account for access, most Creative-level metrics require the account to have a Super Admin role.

Impacted fields

These fields can’t be pulled without Page admin access:

  • Creative ID

  • Creative status

  • Creative type

  • Creative Direct Sponsored Content name

  • Creative title

  • Creative text

  • Creative destination URL

  • Creative reference type

  • Creative reference ID
