# Impact connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Impact data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/impact-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

Before using the Impact connector, you need a copy of your account SID and auth token.

To get the account SID and auth token:

1. Log in to the [Impact.com platform](https://app.impact.com/login.user).
2. From the bottom left, navigate to **Settings**.
3. Under **Technical**, navigate to **API**.
4. Under the **API Access** tab, you can find your **Account SID** and **Auth Token**.

### Scopes

The following scopes are required to pull data from Impact:

| Scope | API path | Method |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Accounts | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/CompanyInformation` | `GET` |
| Actions | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/Actions` | `GET` |
| Campaigns | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/Campaigns` | `GET` |
| Media partners | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/MediaPartners` | `GET` |
| API submissions | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/APISubmissions` | `GET` |
| Report exports | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/ReportExport/adv_performance_by_ad_media_date` | `GET` |
| Report exports | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/ReportExport/att_adv_performance_by_mp_gr` | `GET` |
| Report exports | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/ReportExport/att_adv_performance_by_geo_location_pm_only` | `GET` |
| Report exports | `/Advertisers/<Account SID>/ReportExport/adv_action_listing_pm_only` | `GET` |

## Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:

- **Performance by Ad / Partner / Date**: Get performance data aggregated on an ad, partner, and daily level.
- **Performance by Partner group**: Get performance data aggregated on the partner group level. This report only returns data for Partners that are part of a Partner group.
- **Performance by Country**: Get performance data aggregated on the country level.
- **Advanced action listing**: List all actions and their details generated in a selected date range.

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Impact, you need your account SID and auth token.

1. Select the Impact data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. Enter your account SID and auth token.
3. Give your login a name. The name can be anything — its purpose is for you to recognize the login later in case you have multiple logins.
4. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
5. Click **Start**.
6. In your data destination, select a query type to use, if prompted.
