# HubSpot Contacts connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your HubSpot Contacts data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/hubspot-contacts-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

### User permissions

You must have sufficient permissions in HubSpot to install and authorize the app. One of the following roles is required:

- Admin
- Owner (full access)

### Supported products

To use the HubSpot Contacts data source, you need one of the following HubSpot products or higher:

- Marketing Hub - Free
- Sales Hub - Free
- Service Hub - Free
- Content Hub - Free
- Data Hub - Free

## Connection instructions

When connecting to HubSpot Contacts, you need to log in to HubSpot and select the portal to use when prompted.

1. Select the HubSpot Contacts data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](/v1/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
3. Click **Start**.
4. Log in with your HubSpot details once prompted. If you're currently logged into a HubSpot account, Supermetrics will use those credentials to authenticate your connection.
5. Choose which portal to authorize with.
6. Click **Allow** to allow the Supermetrics app to access your data.
