# How to start a free Supermetrics trial

The first time you log in to Supermetrics, you'll start a 14-day free trial. After that, you can trial individual data sources for 14 days each. [Learn what you can do with Supermetrics](/v1/docs/what-is-supermetrics).

## Instructions

### Start a Supermetrics free trial

1. [Open our website](https://supermetrics.com/start-trial).
2. Choose your data destination.
3. Follow the steps to launch your free trial.

### Test out a data source

Once you've either started a free trial or purchased a subscription, you can test out any connector for free for 14 days.

You can also use any of [our early access connectors for free until they're fully released](/v1/docs/about-data-source-connector-types).

****Google Sheets****

Before you begin, make sure you've [installed the Supermetrics sidebar to Google Sheets](/v1/docs/how-to-install-supermetrics-in-google-sheets).

1. Open the Supermetrics sidebar.
2. Click **Create new query**.
3. Click **Data source**.
4. Select the data source you'd like to test out. Take a look at our [data source guides](/v1/docs/connect) for instructions on how to connect to a data source.

****Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio)****

1. [Open the Supermetrics Data Studio connector gallery](https://supermetrics.com/start-trial/supermetrics-for-data-studio).
2. Find the data source you'd like to test out.
3. Click **Start free trial**.
4. Take a look at our [data source guides](/v1/docs/connect) for instructions on how to connect to a data source.

1. Open the Supermetrics sidebar.

## When a trial ends

If you want to keep using all of Supermetrics' features in a destination or data source after your trial ends, purchase a subscription to continue building and enhancing your reports.
