# How to share Dashboards

Dashboards in Supermetrics are automatically shared with members of your Supermetrics team, allowing everyone in the team to view and collaborate on data.

To share dashboards with external stakeholders, you can grant access in two ways:

- **Share via link**: Create a link to share the dashboard with anyone outside your Supermetrics team. You can add a passcode for security.
- **Share via email**: Securely share the dashboard with selected recipients. Dashboards shared via email always require a verification code to view its content.

The people you share the dashboard with can view the dashboard and change the date ranges, but they aren't able to make any changes to the dashboards. If you’re sharing a dashboard created from a template, viewers can change the metrics and dimensions the template provides.

You can see internal access levels in the sharing dialogue: the Team access tab lists all team members along with their roles.

Note that the Dashboard built using the Paid media template can't be shared.

## Instructions

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com), go to **Dashboards** under **Analyze**.
2. Select a dashboard to share, click the 3-dot icon, and select **Share**. You can also open a Dashboard and click **Share** from there.
3. Click **Anyone with the external link**.
4. Click **Can view dashboard**.
5. Set the expiration date for the link.
6. To add a passcode, enable the **Passcode protection** toggle.

A passcode will be automatically generated for you. To use a custom passcode, click the edit icon to enter your own passcode. Click the copy icon next to the passcode to share it with the recipients.
7. When the passcode is enabled, users with a link to your dashboards are prompted to provide the passcode before being able to view the dashboard.
8. Click **Copy link**.
9. Send the link and the passcode to the recipient.

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com), go to **Dashboards** under **Analyze**.
2. Select a dashboard to share, click the 3-dot icon, and select **Share**. You can also open a Dashboard and click **Share** from there.
3. Click **Specific people via email**.
4. Enter the recipient email addresses, up to 10 at a time.
5. Click **Send access link**.

Recipients must also verify their identity using a verification code sent to their email before they can access the dashboard.

You can see how many times a shared dashboard has been accessed.

## Troubleshooting

**Shared dashboard no longer available**

If the person who last edited a shared dashboard is removed from the Supermetrics team, the dashboard will become unavailable for viewing. **To fix this**, a team member with dashboard editor access to the dashboard must open the dashboard in edit mode and save it. This transfers the ownership of the dashboard to an active team member, and the shared dashboard can be viewed again.
