# How to set a custom attribution window in Pinterest Ads queries

You can define the attribution window used for the calculation in Pinterest Ads by adjusting an optional setting for the query.

Because this changes the calculation, you might see discrepancies in your data when comparing it to what you see in Pinterest (as the settings will be different). Make sure the attribution setting you see in Pinterest Ads matches the one in your query.

## Instructions

****Google Sheets****

1. Open the Supermetrics sidebar.
2. Select a Pinterest Ads query, and click the pencil icon to edit it.
3. Go to **Options**.
4. Scroll down to the **Attribution window** dropdown.
5. Set your custom attribution window.

****Excel****

1. Open the Supermetrics sidebar.
2. Select a Pinterest Ads query, and click **Modify**.
3. Go to **Options**.
4. Scroll down to the **Attribution window** dropdown.
5. Set your custom attribution window.

****Data Studio****

1. Click on any report element connected to your Pinterest Ads query to open the Supermetrics pane.
2. Click the **Edit icon** next to Pinterest Ads.
3. Click **Edit connection**.
4. Scroll down to the **Attribution window** dropdown.
5. Set your custom attribution window.

****Power BI****

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **Power BI** under **Analyze**.
2. Select a Pinterest Ads query to modify.
3. Select the connection to use.
4. Go to **Options**.
5. Scroll down to the **Attribution window** dropdown.
6. Set your custom attribution window.

****The Supermetrics API****

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **API queries** under **Manage**.
2. Select the Salesforce data source and the query to modify.
3. In the sidebar, go to **Options**.
4. Scroll down to the **Attribution window** dropdown.
5. Set your custom attribution window.

****Data warehouse****

[When setting up your data transfer](/v1/docs/how-to-create-a-transfer), navigate to **General settings** and select the settings to use.
