# How to reauthenticate a data source connection in Google Sheets, Data Studio, Excel, Power BI, and Supermetrics Hub

Sometimes, your connection to a data source times out, or your connection needs to be renewed for another reason.

Reauthenticating can solve these errors, among others:

- `Error: Invalid credentials`
- `Authentication failed`

Follow these steps to reauthenticate the data source connection.

## Instructions

You can renew the connection to your data source on the Supermetrics Hub. The connection will also be updated in the destinations you're using.

1. [Go to the Data sources page on the Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management).
2. Click the data source you need to authenticate and find the connection to reauthenticate.
3. Click the reconnect icon (![Circular arrows indicating a refresh action in a user interface element.](https://cdn.document360.io/a13cead5-eaae-456f-9bd1-0941d590c0e3/Images/Documentation/hub-refresh-icon.png)) at the end of the row.
4. [Follow the data source-specific instructions to connect to the data source](/v1/docs/connect).

Take a look at [this support article for more instructions on how to manage data source connections on the Hub](/v1/docs/how-to-manage-data-source-connections-on-supermetrics-hub).

You can also reconnect to your data source from your data destination. Follow the instructions below.

****Google Sheets****

[Embedded content](https://www.youtube.com/embed/-eRafMECL54)

1. [Open a Google Sheets file](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/).
2. Click **Extensions → Supermetrics → Launch** to open the sidebar.
3. Go to the **Queries** tab.
4. Select a query that uses the data source you want to reauthenticate from the sidebar. Click the **3-dot menu**next to its name.
5. Click **Manage data source connection**.
6. In the data source list, click the **chevron** (![A downward arrow indicating a dropdown menu for user interaction.](https://cdn.document360.io/a13cead5-eaae-456f-9bd1-0941d590c0e3/Images/Documentation/hub-chevron-icon.png)) next to the data source's name.
7. Click **+ Add connection.**
8. [Connect to the data source again.](/v1/docs/connect)

Updating one query will refresh all queries using the same token.

If you're using an older version of the Supermetrics sidebar, skip step 3. Instead, just select the data source from the sidebar and then follow steps 6 through 8.

**Troubleshooting**

- If your account still doesn't appear on the account list, reauthenticate again in an incognito window.
- If you encounter one of the Google errors below, [follow these instructions to resolve Google Account issues](/v1/docs/how-to-fix-login-errors-across-multiple-google-accounts).
  - `This action is not supported when you are logged with multiple accounts `
  - `This was a reauthorization request for user A but you logged in as user B`

- If you encounter an error that reads `No accounts selected`,**it means you haven't selected any accounts when authenticating the data source.
  - To fix this, open the data source settings by selecting the data source in the sidebar in Google Sheets, and select at least one account under **Select accounts**. Note that this option sometimes uses a different name — if you're using Google Analytics 4, for example, it'll read **Select properties**.

## Troubleshooting

If you get stuck in an authentication loop, log out from the data source platform completely to clear any bad sessions and cookies. Then, you can start the authentication process again.
