# How to query for specific conversions in Google Ads

Use a simple query in Supermetrics to pull data for specific conversions in Google Ads.

## Instructions

1. Create a new query in your destination.
2. Set your metric to **Conversions**.
3. Set your dimensions to **Conversion type** or **Conversion category**.
4. Run your query.

This also works with the Conversion tracker ID and External conversion source dimensions.

> [!NOTE]
> Note on compatibility
>
> Several metrics in Google Ads aren't compatible with conversion-based dimensions. This means you won't be able to query these metrics if your dimension is set to Conversion type or Conversion category.
>
> The compatible fields are listed in [Google Ads’ API documentation](https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v15/segments#segments.conversion_action_name). To see all fields compatible with the conversion-based dimensions, expand the "Selectable with" part at the bottom of the **segments.conversion_action_name** section of the page.
