# How to manage data source connections on Supermetrics Hub

You can manage your data source connections directly from the Supermetrics Hub.

Follow this guide to share connections with your team, make them private, and replace, reauthenticate, or remove data source connections.

Take a look at our tutorial video that explains how you can add, remove, share, renew, replace, and remove data source connections.

## Instructions

### Share a connection or make a connection private

You can easily share your connections with the team or make a connection private. [Learn more about shared connections](/v1/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **Data sources** under **Connect**.
2. Click a data source and find the connection you want to share or make private.
3. Click the icon in the **Sharing** column to make the connection private or share it with your team. Note that making a previously shared connection private will cause queries other people have created using that connection to fail.

### Replace a connection with another one

If you're a Supermetrics Team Admin, you can replace connections with other connections. This is useful, for example, when a team member leaves the company and their connection is removed. You can replace the connection with a new one to keep your existing queries running.

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **Data sources** under **Connect**.
2. Click the data source and find the old connection that needs to be replaced.
3. Click the replace icon (![Icon with two people and an arrow.](https://cdn.document360.io/a13cead5-eaae-456f-9bd1-0941d590c0e3/Images/Documentation/hub-replace-connection-icon.png)) at the end of the row.
4. Select a connection to replace the connection with.
5. Click **Replace**.

### Remove and reconnect a connection

You can easily reconnect accounts with multiple logins on the Supermetrics Hub. This helps to remove expired, stale, or problematic logins and then reconnect with the right connection.

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **Data sources** under **Connect**.
2. Check the team name in the top bar to make sure you're logged into a team that owns the connection you'd like to remove or reconnect.
3. Go to the data source with the connection you want to remove or reconnect.
4. Click the data source's name to view its details and available connections.
5. At the end of the row, click the **x** icon****to remove a connection from Supermetrics, or the reconnect icon (![Circular arrows indicating a refresh action in a user interface element.](https://cdn.document360.io/a13cead5-eaae-456f-9bd1-0941d590c0e3/Images/Documentation/hub-refresh-icon.png)) to log in to a connection and refresh its authentication.

### Reauthenticate a connection

Sometimes, your connection to a data source times out or needs to be renewed for another reason. Follow these steps to reconnect to the data source on the Supermetrics Hub.

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **Data sources** under **Connect**.
2. Click the data source with the problematic connection and find the connection to be reauthenthicated.
3. Click the reconnect icon (![Circular arrows indicating a refresh action in a user interface element.](https://cdn.document360.io/a13cead5-eaae-456f-9bd1-0941d590c0e3/Images/Documentation/hub-refresh-icon.png)) at the end of the row.
4. [Follow the data source-specific instructions to connect to the data source](/v1/docs/connect).

### Disconnect, restore, and delete connections

You may need to disconnect a connection if, for example, a team member leaves the company. Follow these steps to disconnect a connection that's no longer needed.

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **Data sources** under **Connect**.
2. Click the data source to open its details and find the old connection that needs to be disconnected.
3. Click the **x** icon to disconnect the connection.
4. Click **Disconnect**.

After disconnecting, the queries using the connection will stop working, but the connection remains in the list of connections for 30 days, after which it's automatically deleted. Within 30 days, you can restore the connection or delete it completely. If a connection is permanently deleted, it's not possible to restore it.
