# How to get Supermetrics alerts to your email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams channel

Supermetrics has an alert feature to notify the right people when something happens in your reporting.

- For data warehouse, data lake, and Supermetrics Storage, you can set up an alert if data warehouse transfers require your attention.
- With scheduled refreshes in Google Sheets or Excel, you can be alerted for any issues that require your attention.
- In Google Sheets, you can set up conditional alerts that notify you only when certain conditions are met in your report.

The alerts can be sent to an email address or to a Slack or Microsoft Teams channel. You can also have the report itself sent to an email address or to a channel on Slack or Microsoft Teams.

## Before you begin

To receive notifications in Slack or Microsoft Teams channels, you need to get the email address of the channel.

### Get Slack channel email address

1. Create or open a Slack channel you want to get the alerts or reports sent to.
2. Go to channel details.
3. Click **Integrations**.
4. Click **Send emails to this channel**.
5. Copy the email address.

### Get Microsoft Teams channel email address

1. Create or open a channel for a team in Microsoft Teams. Any privacy option works. To create a channel, click the 3-dot menu next to the team name, and click **Add channel**.
2. In the top-right corner of the channel view, click the 3-dot menu, and select **More options → Get email address**.
3. Copy the email address.

## Instructions

****Set up email alerts for data warehouse transfers****

> [!NOTE]
> This notification works for all data warehouse, data lake, and Supermetrics Storage destinations where the transfers are created from the Supermetrics Hub. For BigQuery (marketplace), the email used when creating the transfer will automatically receive alerts.

Supermetrics data warehouse transfers are designed to automatically recover from most errors. However, some errors can't be automatically recovered and require your attention.

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **Data transfers** under **Manage**.
2. Click **Create new**.
3. Select the data source and click **OK**.
4. Fill the **Send alerts to**field with the email addresses you want to receive notifications.
  - You can add multiple emails separated by commas.
  - These email addresses don't need to belong to the same Supermetrics team.
5. When you're ready, click **Save** to store the transfer.

Ensure that the email addresses are valid and actively monitored by the respective recipients. Alerts will be sent to the recipients once per 24 hours for all failed transfers that require your attention.
