# How to fix the 'You do not have access to Google Docs' error

This guide will walk you through how to fix this error:

`We are sorry, but you do not have access to Google Docs. Please log in to your Admin console to enable Google docs.`

This error occurs when an organization’s [Google Workspace administrator](https://support.google.com/a/answer/6208960?hl=en) hasn’t granted access to documents in your Workspace.

Contact your Workspace administrator for help resolving this issue. If you are an administrator, follow the steps below to quickly remove the error.

## Instructions

1. Log in as an **Admin** to the [Google Workspace Admin Console](https://admin.google.com/).
2. On the left-hand side of the page, navigate to **Apps → Google Workspace → Drive and Docs**.
3. Click **Service Status**.
4. Change the status from **OFF** to **ON for everyone**, and click **Save**.

Please note that the changes can take some time to update if you have a lot of users in your organization.
