# How to clear the Supermetrics cache in Excel

If the Supermetrics sidebar gets stuck in Excel — if it appears blank, for example, or seems to load infinitely — use the instructions below to reset the Supermetrics application cache.

****Desktop (Mac)****

1. Open the Supermetrics sidebar.
2. Click the **Info icon** in the top right corner. ![Supermetrics interface showing an information icon for user guidance.](https://cdn.document360.io/a13cead5-eaae-456f-9bd1-0941d590c0e3/Images/Documentation/excel-info-icon.png)
3. Click **Clear web cache**.
4. Wait a few moments, and from the same menu, click **Reload**.

****Desktop (Windows)****

1. Sign out of Supermetrics and close Excel.
2. Remove the contents of the `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\` folder.
3. Open Excel.
4. Reopen the Supermetrics sidebar.

****Excel online****

There are 2 ways to clear the application cache in Excel online.

### Reload frame

1. Open the Supermetrics sidebar.
2. Right click anywhere on the sidebar.
3. Click **Reload frame**.

### Clear cache with developer tools

Developer tools vary between different browsers — in this example, we use Google Chrome.

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Open the Chrome menu in the top-right corner of the browser.
3. Navigate to **More tools**, and then click **Developer tools**.
4. Find the **Application** tab.
5. Clear the **Local and session storage**, **Cache storage**, and **Application cache** options.
6. Reopen the Supermetrics sidebar.
