# How to change data source configuration in Data Studio

It takes just a few clicks to change a data source’s configuration in Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio). Each data source has its own settings.

## Instructions

1. Open a Data Studio report and select a chart that uses the data source you’d like to update.
2. Click the **Edit icon** (![A pencil icon representing editing functionality in a digital interface.](https://cdn.document360.io/a13cead5-eaae-456f-9bd1-0941d590c0e3/Images/Documentation/ls-edit-icon.png)) next to your data source (or click **Resource** → **Manage added data sources** and click **Edit** there).
3. Click **Edit connection**.
4. You can change the data source configuration in the section below your subscription details. The available options depend on the data source.
5. Click **Reconnect** to save the changes.
