# How to blend data imported with Custom Data Import with other data sources

Custom Data Import allows you to import data into Supermetrics and use that data alongside other natively supported data sources. In this article, we’ll show how to use data imported with Custom Data Import in [Supermetrics data blending](/v1/docs/about-data-blending) to blend the data with other data sources we support.

## Before you begin

Before setting up the blend, make sure you have [created your first custom data import](/v1/docs/how-to-configure-a-data-import-for-custom-data-import) and [successfully imported your first data](/v1/docs/how-to-upload-data-to-custom-data-import). The Custom Data Import data source will become visible in data blending only after you’ve created your first import.

## Instructions

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com), go to **Data blending** under **Manage**.
2. Click **Create new blend**.
3. Select the data sources you want to include in your blend. To blend data imported with Custom Data Import, select **Custom Data Import** as one the data sources and select which of your data imports you want to include in the blend.
4. Select the accounts you want to include in your blend for all included data sources.
5. After selecting accounts for all data sources, click **Continue to overview**.
6. Give your blend a name and click **Create blend**.
7. Click **Review blended fields**.
8. Map fields from the Custom Data Import data source to other data sources:
  - To customize the field mapping, click the pen icon next to the blended field name on the row you want to customize.
  - To add new fields to the blend, click **Add fields** below the data source name.
  - To remove fields from the list, click the trashcan icon next to the blended field name.
9. Now the blend is ready to be used.

Next, see [how to use blended data in data destinations](/v1/docs/how-to-use-data-blending-in-your-data-destination).
