# How to activate Supermetrics Storage on the Supermetrics Hub

Activating Supermetrics Storage through the Supermetrics Hub is a straightforward process. This guide will walk you through each step to ensure a smooth setup.

## Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure that:

- You're an editor, admin, or owner in your Supermetrics team. Users with View or Finance permissions are not able to activate Storage.
- You have a valid Supermetrics subscription that supports Supermetrics Storage. If you don't have one, the dashboard will prompt you to contact us to purchase a subscription.
- You understand that, for now, Supermetrics Storage instances are only available in Europe. This cannot be changed later.
- At least one person on the subscription has a Google email that isn't a group email or an alias.

## Instructions

1. On the [Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/), go to **Data warehousing** under **Manage**.
2. Under Activate Supermetrics Storage, click **Activate now**. A pop-up will appear, reminding you that Supermetrics Storage is currently limited to Europe.
3. Click **Continue** to proceed.
4. The activation process begins and takes you to the **Storage destinations** page. Wait for the activation to complete.
5. Once finished, you'll see a success message confirming that Supermetrics Storage is active.

Once the activation is complete, an email will be sent to the person who initiated the activation, confirming that Supermetrics Storage is active. The email includes instructions on where to get started.

All users on your subscription will automatically gain access to Supermetrics Storage. If any user's email is incompatible with Supermetric Storage, they won't be able to connect the Storage to external tools, such as Data Studio or Google Sheets. However, they can still create and manage transfers within the Hub. Group emails, aliases, and non-Google emails are not compatible with Storage.

After you have activated Supermetrics Storage, go to **Data transfers**, and click **Create transfer** to [create a transfer to move data to your storage](/v1/docs/how-to-create-a-transfer). If you have other storage destinations (such as BigQuery or Snowflake), they will appear in a separate tab on the Data warehousing page.
