# Google Merchant Center connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Google Merchant Center data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/v1/docs/google-merchant-center-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

You must have both the **Standard** and **Reporting manager** permissions in the Google Merchant Center account you want to pull data from.

## Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:

- **Performance**: Retrieve merchant performance metrics matching the search query and optionally segmented by selected dimensions.
- **Product**: Offers an overview of all your products.
- **Diagnostics**: Offers issue reporting across your account and items grouped by the context in which your product data might show.

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Google Merchant Center, you need to log in to Google and select the account to use.

1. Select the Google Merchant Center data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](/v1/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
