# Google Analytics 4 connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Google Analytics 4 data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/google-analytics-4-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

You need a Google Account with at least **Viewer** access at the Property and View levels. Learn more about [access management in Google Analytics 4](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9305587?hl=en&amp;visit_id=636147472896251251-1715003152&amp;rd=1#zippy=%2Cgoogle-analytics).

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Google Analytics 4, you need to log in to Google and select the accounts to use when prompted.

1. Select the Google Analytics 4 data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
3. Click **Sign in with Google**.
4. Sign in with the Google Account you use with this data source. This doesn't have to be the same as the Google Account you use with Supermetrics.
5. Click **Allow**, and click **Continue**.
6. Select all access scopes and click **Allow**. Failure to select all may result in the data source not functioning correctly.
7. In your data destination, select the accounts to pull data from.
