# Google Ads connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Google Ads data to Supermetrics.

<meta charset="utf-8">

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/google-ads-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

You need a Google Ads or [manager account](https://ads.google.com/home/tools/manager-accounts/) with **Read Only**access. Learn how to grant [access to a Google Ads account](https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6372672?hl=en&amp;co=ADWORDS.IsAWNCustomer%3Dfalse) or [manage your accounts](https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6372672?hl=en&amp;co=ADWORDS.IsAWNCustomer%3Dfalse).

If you have connected to Google Ads correctly, but your ad account doesn't appear, try granting the manager account access again.

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Google Ads, you need to log in to Google and select the accounts to pull data from when prompted.

1. Select the Google Ads data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
3. Click **Sign in with Google**.
4. Sign in with the Google Account you use with this data source. This doesn't have to be the same as the Google Account you use with Supermetrics.
5. Click **Allow**, and click **Continue**.
6. Select all access scopes and click **Allow**. Failure to select all may result in the data source not functioning correctly.
7. In your data destination, select the accounts to pull data from.
