If you’re connecting to Salesforce, follow the instructions in our [connection guide](/v1/docs/salesforce-connection-guide). See [Salesforce metrics and dimensions](/v1/docs/salesforce-fields) for the fields available in this data source. ## Request limits and recommended refresh rate **Request limit**: Depends on your Salesforce edition, see Salesforce documentation for more information: - [API Request Limits and Allocations](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.salesforce_app_limits_cheatsheet.meta/salesforce_app_limits_cheatsheet/salesforce_app_limits_platform_api.htm) - [API Limits and Monitoring Your API Usage](https://developer.salesforce.com/blogs/2024/11/api-limits-and-monitoring-your-api-usage) **Recommended refresh window**: 2-3 days ## Historical range There are no known limitations to the historical range of data you can pull with the Salesforce data source connector. ## Accounts in Salesforce In the Salesforce connector, each CRM portal is considered a separate account within the connection. Your Supermetrics subscription determines the number of [data source accounts](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-data-source-accounts) you can use simultaneously. ## Things to consider ### Amount metric and currency mixing Amount discrepancies can possibly be caused by a known issue with currencies being mixed. If you select only the “Amount” metric, different currencies will be mixed and summed. To solve it, use the “Convert currencies to the organization default currency” option, or add a currency dimension to the query. ### Custom objects Custom objects are supported to a certain limit. Basically, Supermetrics retrieves all the objects for the Salesforce account and filters them by availability to be reported on. Then Supermetrics takes the first 150 of these and fetches the fields for them, which are then treated as custom fields in our system. ### Task, Opportunity, and Lead objects Task, Opportunity, and Lead objects can’t be pulled together. Supermetrics doesn’t have the capability to have interconnected objects that would allow this. Use or create fields and custom fields from each object to work. ## More resources - [Salesforce connection guide](/v1/docs/salesforce-connection-guide) - [Salesforce: Permissions troubleshooting guide](/v1/docs/salesforce-permissions-troubleshooting-guide) - [Salesforce report building guide](/v1/docs/salesforce-report-building-guide) - [Salesforce metrics and dimensions](/v1/docs/salesforce-fields)
