Historical range
With the Instagram Public Data data source connector:
Profile post data is available for the last 2 years.
Stories disappear from results after 24 hours.
Post Search fetches posts published in the last 24 hours, to a maximum of 250 posts.
Accounts in Instagram Public Data
The Instagram Public Data data source connector supports fetching data from an unlimited number of accounts.
Things to consider
Profile info report type
Data of accounts that are restricted, age-limited, or private can’t be fetched. A message stating Error: Invalid profile name X can mean that the account name is invalid, OR the account is restricted, age-limited, or private.
Historical data of account followers or post amounts can’t be fetched. The API endpoint only returns current values.
Profile posts report type
Posts published on accounts that are restricted, age-limited, or private cannot be fetched.
Stories, reels and IGTV content are not available.
Post search report type
Each Instagram profile can search a maximum of 30 hashtags within a rolling 7-day period. Having access to multiple profiles will increase the quota you have to use, with multiple profiles, Supermetrics will divide your searches evenly among these profiles. This means with access to 2 profiles, you can search up to 60 hashtags during a 7-day period. Reaching the limit will result in an error: Your IG business account reached hashtags search limit. Querying with the same hashtag multiple times within the period will only count as 1 hashtag search.
Post search returns only posts that are public and do not contain identifiable information.
Stories, reels, IGTV, and promoted/boosted media are not returned.
Post search does not support emoji-hashtags.
Due to an API limitation, the recent search will only return posts published within the last 24 hours, and results are capped to 250 most recent posts.
Top search returns 100 top posts, which are defined by Instagram and can vary per query. Please see hashtag Top search in Meta’s documentation.
Data may not return for Media URL if the media or reel is using copyrighted material or has been flagged for copyright violation.
