# Good to know about Basis

This article outlines recommendations and notes certain limitations imposed by the data source API, which you may need to consider when building your queries.

If you are connecting to this data source, please follow the instructions in our [connection guide](/v1/docs/basis-connection-guide), and the available fields for this connector are listed in the [metrics and dimensions documentation](/v1/docs/basis-fields).

## Request limits and recommended refresh rate

**Request limit**: 75,000 requests per hour across all endpoints per API user.

**Recommended refresh window**: 2-3 days

## Historical range

There are no known limitations to the historical range of data you can pull with the Basis data source connector.

## Accounts in Basis

In the Bambuser connector, each Client is considered a separate account within the connection.

Your Supermetrics subscription determines the number of [data source accounts](/v1/docs/about-data-source-accounts) you can use simultaneously.

## Things to consider

### Basis DSP

This connector does not support reporting for customers that only use the Basis DSP product, as it has a different reporting API. We are planning to add support for this in the future.
