# Ecwid connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Ecwid data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/ecwid-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

You will need your **Store ID**and**Secret app token** to connect to Ecwid.

#### How to retrieve your Store ID

- Go to the admin dashboard of your [Ecwid store](https://my.ecwid.com/).
- The **Store ID** is visible in the footer section of every page.
- It’s also included in the URL of the web page, for example, “[https://my.ecwid.com/store/1234567](https://my.ecwid.com/store/1234567)“ where 1234567 is the Store ID.

#### How to create your Secret app token

- Go to the [app dashboard](https://my.ecwid.com/#develop-apps) of your Ecwid store.
- Click **Create**, next to “Add new app”.
- On the app detail page, click **Show secret token**.
- Copy the secret token to a secure place for use later.

## Query types

If prompted, you need to select a query type to pull data.

- **Orders**: Fetch data of all the orders made in a certain time range.

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Ecwid, you need to enter your Store ID and Secret app token.

1. Select the Ecwid data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. Insert your **Store ID** and **Secret app token**.
3. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
4. Click **Start**.
5. In your data destination, choose your desired store(s), date range metrics, and dimensions. For Query options settings, select “Fetch orders by created or updated date.”
