# Bambuser connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Bambuser data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/bambuser-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

To connect Supermetrics to your Bambuser account, you need your Bambuser base URL and a copy of your API key.

### Get your base URL

1. [Log in to Bambuser](https://bambuser.com/), and open your dashboard.
2. Take a look at the URL in your address bar.
  - If the URL begins with **lcx.bambuser.com/**, your base URL is: `https://liveshopping-api.bambuser.com/v1`.
  - If the URL begins with **lcx-eu.bambuser.com/**, your base URL is: `https://liveshopping-api-eu.bambuser.com/v1`.

### Get your API key

1. To get the API key, [contact Bambuser support](https://knowledge.bambuser.com/). Ask for an API key with READ_STATS and READ_SHOW scopes. [Learn more in Bambuser's documentation](https://liveshopping-api.bambuser.com/v1/docs/api/one-to-many).
2. [Log in to Bambuser](https://bambuser.com/), and open your dashboard.
3. On the left-hand side, click **Settings**.
4. Under Settings, click **Integrations**.
5. Select **API keys**.
6. Find the API key you want to copy, and click **Copy**. Store this in a secure place. If you don't see an API key here, [contact Bambuser support](https://knowledge.bambuser.com/).

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Bambuser, you need to provide your base URL and API key.

1. Select the Bambuser data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. Enter the base URL and API key.
3. Give your login a name to recognize the login later in case you have multiple logins.
4. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
5. Click **Start**.
