# AppsFlyer connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your AppsFlyer data to Supermetrics.

<meta charset="utf-8">

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/appsflyer-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

Note that the AppsFlyer connector doesn't work with AppsFlyer agency accounts. The connector uses the apps list endpoint for fetching a list of all available apps and it does not support agencies.

To connect Supermetrics to AppsFlyer, you need:

- Account admin access
- API token (V2.0)

****Retrieve your API tokens****

1. [Log in to AppsFlyer](https://hq1.appsflyer.com/auth/login).
2. Click the email address in the top right corner to open the user menu drop-down.
3. Click **Security center**.
4. Under **AppsFlyer API tokens**, select **Manage your AppsFlyer API tokens**.
5. Copy the V2.0 API token.

[Learn more about retrieving and managing your tokens in AppsFlyer's documentation](https://support.appsflyer.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004562377-Managing-API-tokens).

## Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. Supermetrics supports 2 query types to fetch performance data on how different marketing channels and user acquisition sources perform. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:

- **Aggregated performance (Pull API) report:** Get basic aggregated performance data for your mobile apps. This report is available for all AppsFlyer users.
- **Aggregated geo performance (Pull API) report**: Get performance data based on geographical location.
- **Aggregated performance (Master API) report:** Fetch more granular data with less restrictive rate limits, including ad group, ad, and keyword splits. The Master API requires a separate subscription; please contact AppsFlyer to gain access. [Learn more about the Master API in AppsFlyer's documentation](https://support.appsflyer.com/hc/en-us/articles/213223166-Master-API-user-acquisition-metrics-via-API).
- **SKAN performance**: Get campaign and installation performance data from Apple’s systems
- **Event data export**: Fetch raw event level data, each row is one event logged in AppsFlyer.

> [!NOTE]
> The raw data from the Event data export query type (any fields that begin with `raw_data`_) is only available in data warehouse destinations and the Supermetrics API. You also need an Enterprise AppsFlyer subscription with raw data API enabled.
