The Data Activation connector for Amobee (formerly known as Turn) enables you to transmit user lists (audiences/segments) to the Amobee demand-side platform. This integration allows you to define your audiences in the Data Activation and synchronize them with Amobee segments for targeted advertising campaigns.
Key features:
Amobee is used as a Demand Side Platform (DSP)
Define audiences in the Data Activation and provide identifiers for the Amobee segment you want to synchronize
The integration is real-time
Very user-friendly, standardized, and manageable
Use the full platform functionality to segment visitors with specific requirements not possible in pixel-based integrations

Before you begin
Before configuring the Amobee connector, you need:
Amobee Client ID: This client ID is assigned to the Data Activation and is not to be confused with the advertiser. The Data Activation has its own container within Amobee that audiences are pushed into. These audiences are then shared with the relevant advertiser account. Contact Product for obtaining the client ID.
Amobee Segment Key/ID: This key/ID determines which segment in Amobee to push the audience into.
Amobee cookie sync implemented: The default partner number for Amobee is 6.
Instructions
Step 1: Configure destination
First, provide Amobee with a spreadsheet that contains two columns:
ID: The identifier for the segment. While this can be any numeric value, it's best to use the audience or app ID without the underscore (for example, if 1335_22 is the app ID, the Amobee ID should be 133522)
LEVEL 1: The name of the Segment, which can be the same name as the audience.
Set up the Amobee connector in the Data Activation. There are no parameters needed to configure this connector as all details are entered when the connector is added to an audience.
Configure and publish a cookie sync for Amobee.
Add the Amobee connector to an existing or new audience and provide the Client ID and Segment ID you want to transfer data to. The Segment ID is the ID specified in the spreadsheet for this audience.
If required, run Historic Processing to populate this audience in Amobee. While audiences are activated in real time, reporting in Amobee can take up to 24 hours.
Step 2: Add the destination connector to an audience or journey
After setting up the connector, add it to an audience and provide the Client ID and Segment ID for the Amobee segment you want to synchronize with.
Note
Ensure the spreadsheet provided to Amobee stays up-to-date with your audience configurations.
