# Amazon Vendor Central connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Amazon Vendor Central data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/amazon-vendor-central-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

To connect, you must be the primary user of the Amazon Vendor Central account or you have enabled Grant universal site admin access permissions for a secondary user account.

To assign admin permissions to a secondary account:

1. Go to **Settings****→ Manage Permissions** in Amazon Vendor Central.
2. Click **Edit**.
3. Under **Role and Permissions**, select **Admin** and **save** your changes.

## Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:

- **Sales**
- **Traffic**

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Amazon Vendor Central, you need to log in to Amazon and select the marketplace when prompted.

1. Select the Amazon Vendor Central data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
3. Click **Start**.
4. Log in to your Amazon account.
5. Select the marketplace account where you have the main store.
6. In your data destination, select the select the marketplaces you’d like to include in your reporting and a query type to use.
