<meta charset="utf-8">

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/amazon-ads-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

To connect to Amazon Ads, you need an Amazon user account that has access to an ad account.

- If using a manager account to access a linked ad account, the Amazon user account needs to be an **Admin** in the manager account, and the manager account needs at least **Editor** permissions to the linked ad account.
- If the Amazon user account has direct access to the ad account, the Amazon user account needs at least **Editor** permissions.
- If using granular permissions in either case, the user/manager account must have view permissions to both **Advertising reports** and **Campaign manager** options.

Note that Agency profiles are not supported. For Agency profiles, use the [Amazon DSP data source connector](/v1/docs/amazon-dsp-connection-guide) instead.

## Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data.

- **Sponsored Products**: Get data for Sponsored Products type ads
- **Sponsored Brands**: Get data for Sponsored Brands type ads
- **Sponsored Display**: Get data for Sponsored Display type ads
