# Affluent connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Affluent data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the [Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management). On the Hub, you can also [share an authentication link](https://docs.supermetrics.com/v1/docs/how-to-connect-to-data-sources-from-supermetrics-hub#share-authentication-link) to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in [all available destinations](/docs/affluent-connection-guide#connection-instructions).

## Required permissions

To connect Affluent to Supermetrics, you need:

- An API key
- An API URL

To get your API key and API URL:

1. Contact your Affluent administrator to get the API key. Remember to keep the API key safe.
2. To get your API URL, replace `{server}` in the following URL with the name of your Affluent server: `https://{server}-api.affluent.io/`
  - Find your Affluent server name in your Affluent URL. For example, for the Affluent URL `accountname.affluent.io/`, the server name is `accountname`.
  - Don't forget to include / at the end of your API URL.

## Query types

If prompted, you need to select a query type to pull data.

- **Performance**: Fetches detailed performance data for affiliate marketing campaigns.

## Connection instructions

When connecting to Affluent, you need to provide your API key and API URL.

1. Select the Affluent data source [on the Supermetrics Hub](https://hub.supermetrics.com/token-management) or in the data destination.
2. Enter your API key and API URL.
3. Give your login a name to recognize the login later if you have multiple logins.
4. If prompted, choose to make this connection [shared or private](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/about-shared-and-private-connections).
5. Click **Start**.
6. In your data destination, select a query type, if prompted.
