The Data Activation Platform connector for Adform enables you to seamlessly integrate your customer data with Adform's programmatic advertising platform, unlocking powerful capabilities for precise targeting, personalized messaging, and campaign optimization. With the Data Activation Platform to Adform DMP connector, you can share your selections with the Adform ecosystem. It allows you to target based on the Adform ID, mobile identifier, or your first-party identifiers if configured in Adform.

Before you begin
Before you start using the Adform connector, ensure the following requirements are met:
An active Adform DMP account
OAuth credentials linked to the DMP account with the following authorization scopes:
https://api.adform.com/scope/dmp.segmentshttps://api.adform.com/scope/dmp.categories
A client ID and client secret obtained through Adform's OAuth registration process
A data provider ID linked to the DMP account
Your Adform account must be paired with the Data Activation Platform's Adform partner account — request this through your Adform account manager
To register a client (application) and request OAuth credentials, contact Adform's API support at technical@adform.com.
Instructions
Step 1: Configure cookie sync
Cookie sync is only required if you select Adform ID when configuring the connector. A cookie sync tag must fire through the Data Activation Platform TMS to sync device IDs with Adform cookie IDs on both sides.
Follow these steps to set up cookie sync:
In Data Activation, navigate to Tags and select Pages.
On the Global path, click the + button to create a new tag.
In the popup window, search for Relay42 data.
Click the Relay42 data icon to reveal the options to the right. Find Cookie sync in the list and click Select Variant.
In the Configure template step, select Adform from the list of partners to sync with, and give the tag a name. Complete the remaining steps, such as rule setup, and save.
Publish the tag to your desired environment in Tags → Publishing.
Once this tag is published, every user who visits your site will also be identifiable by Adform.
Step 2: Configure Adform destination
On the Data Activation platform, select Connectors in the left-side navigation bar.
Select Server to Server and click New Connector.
Select Adform and fill in the form with the following information:
Name: Display name of the partner server-to-server integration, used throughout the Data Activation Platform system
Client ID: Username provided by Adform Platform
Client secret: Password provided by Adform Platform
Data provider ID: Data provider ID provided by Adform Platform
If you don't remember your Data Provider ID, find it in the Adform Interface. After logging in, click your data provider. The ID appears in the browser URL query string:
https://dmp.adform.com/#/provider/XXXXX/dashboard
Payload type: Type of data sent to Adform. Options:
Adform ID
Mobile Advertiser ID
1st Party ID (this payload type allows the partner number to be overridden to match the type of data the 1st party ID represents)
Click Create.
Step 3: Add the destination connector to an audience or journey
Click the connector icon in the Journey step or step 2 of creating an audience.
Select the desired Adform connector (for example, "Adform test").
Select the correct segment on the Adform side.
Alternatively, create a new segment by filling out the Name and Category ID fields. The Category ID is accessible through the dropdown list.
