Reddit limits the number of requests Supermetrics can send to its API per minute. This article explains the limits for the Reddit Ads data source and how they affect your queries.
Reporting limits
Reddit applies two limits to reporting requests. Both apply at the same time.
Limit | Applies to | Requests per minute |
|---|---|---|
Per-user limit | Each individual Reddit Ads user who connects to Supermetrics | 150 |
App-wide limit | All Supermetrics users combined | 500 |
The app-wide limit applies to all Supermetrics users, so Reddit can reject your requests when overall use is high, even if you stay under 150 requests per minute.
In practice, this means that each user can send 150 requests per minute, but the combined total can't pass 500.
Users sending requests | Requests per user | Combined total | Within 500 limit? |
|---|---|---|---|
3 | 150 | 450 | Yes |
4 | 150 | 600 | No |
Reddit returns up to 50 rows per page. This means that large results need more requests. To send fewer requests, use a shorter date range or fewer dimensions.
Other limits
There are individual limits for other lists and details in the Reddit Ads connector.
What Supermetrics loads | Requests per minute |
|---|---|
Business lists | 100 |
Ad account lists | 400 |
Campaign, ad group, and ad details | 400 |
Targeting details (communities, geolocations, and interests) | 100 |
